Traveling with dog – Bandung

Last week our friends from la la land come to our home, and they want to have a little vacation in Bandung. We have no problems at all with that idea, but “can we take luke with us” and they said YES. Perfect!

As a newbe pawrents we ask friends for recommendations, a place where we can take our 4 legged boy, and they said “oh dear, don’t worry about your dog, Bandung is far more tolerable with dog than Jakarta”. And it’s true, bandung even have dog park as tourism destination, WOW. Just me being me, I’m still doubt it, maybe hotel and restaurant but what about other destinations are there pets allowed? Yes dear, they are allowed pet to stroll around with human.

We visited Tebing keraton and Kawah putih, both places welcome dog with open arm, no additional charges. The rule is simple, put your dog on a leash, scoop their poop and enjoy. Luke loves tebing keraton so much, not to crowded with cars, so many things to sniff, nice long walk and it’s cold. Definitely bring him here some other time. Kawah putih a little bit to crowded for luke but he enjoyed it (after some times). He even becomes so popular in here, many people ask to take pictures with him.

Tips to bring dog to kawah putih:

Used private cars, the parking ticket for cars is 150K rupiahs.

Brings enough water, and limited your visit in caldera areas to 10 minutes tops.

We don’t used hotels this time, thanks to @#$$& traffic in bekasi off course. Restaurant we chose Old ben’s garage, they serve delicious food and also welcoming dog with open arms.

Thank you Bandung for being good to dog, we visit again, soon.
